Compare athletes

Look at athletes side by side over time, as a snapshot, or across the team.

Compare puts athletes next to each other so you can spot patterns one athlete’s page can’t show you. You can compare up to 12 athletes.

There are several ways in:

  • Select Compare in the sidebar. It opens on today’s flagged athletes, or the first four if nobody is flagged.
  • Tick athletes on the roster, then choose Compare.
  • Choose Compare flagged on the Attention card.
  • Choose Compare with… on an athlete’s page.

Line charts of how athletes change. This is the view Compare opens on.

  • Choose metrics with a preset such as Recovery, Aerobic, Power, Training load, Body, Blood or Running, or pick up to 4 of your own.
  • Choose a range from 7 days up to 2 years, or all data.
  • Choose how each chart draws: the daily values, a rolling window such as a 7-day average, or “vs usual”.
  • Overlay puts every athlete on one chart, and Stacked gives each athlete their own strip on a shared scale.
  • Hover over a name in the legend to highlight that athlete, or select it to isolate them.
  • Align to race lines athletes up around a race, so you can compare their build-ups.

Hovering over a chart shows every athlete’s value on that date.

A grid of where everyone stands now, with athletes across the top and metrics down the side. Each cell gives the value, a short verdict, the source and date, and how much it changed.

Change lines read likely real or within noise, which helps you avoid reacting to normal variation. Use As of to look at a past date, and Compare to to choose the earlier point.

Each metric as a band, with every athlete shown as a dot, so you can see where someone sits within the team. The athletes you selected are coloured. Blood values show the reference range and dots, and are never ranked.

Who has done which test, and when. Cells read Overdue or Never tested, with a link to record a test. Use this to plan your next testing block.

Power shows in W/kg by default, using the athlete’s weight around the time of the ride. Switch to watts in the toolbar. The power curve uses rides only, so running power isn’t included.

Shaded bands on the charts show Pro level and Top amateur ranges for the athlete’s sex. If the athlete’s sex isn’t set, they appear as “Unclassified”. You can set this on their Profile tab.
