Planning and data
Add historical data
Enter an athlete's older data so their history starts before they joined.
If you’ve coached an athlete for years, you probably have data in spreadsheets. Adding it gives Everstride a longer history to work from from day one.
What you can add
Section titled “What you can add”- Resting heart rate
- HRV (RMSSD)
- Sleep duration
- Weight
- Body fat
- VO2max (watch estimate)
- Training sessions
Lab tests go on the Tests & Documents tab instead.
Add data
Section titled “Add data”Open the athlete, then choose Add historical data at the top of their page. There are three ways to enter it.
Best for copying one metric out of a spreadsheet.
- Pick a metric.
- Type or paste two columns: the date and the value.
- Choose Preview.
Most date and number formats work, including 12.03.2025, 12/03/2025 and 2025-03-12, with either a decimal point or comma. Sleep can be in hours or as h:mm.
Best for a whole file, up to 5 MB.
- Upload the file.
- Check the date and metric columns. Everstride guesses these from the headings, in English or German, and you can change them.
- Choose Preview.
Empty cells are skipped.
Best for adding sessions one at a time.
- Fill in the date, sport and duration.
- Add the start time, distance, average and maximum heart rate, average power or RPE if you have them.
- Add the session to the list, then repeat.
- Choose Preview.
Check before you save
Section titled “Check before you save”The preview marks every row as new, changing a saved value, already saved, skipped or invalid. It also tells you if a device already has data for that day. Rows with a problem aren’t sent.
When you’re happy, save. You’ll get a summary of what was added.
If a device has data for the same day
Section titled “If a device has data for the same day”The device’s value is used. Your entry stays saved, marked “(device data that day is used)”.
The Where the data meet table shows, for each metric, the dates you entered, the dates from the device and any overlap.
Fix a mistake
Section titled “Fix a mistake”Everything you’ve entered is listed under Entered history, newest first, with who entered it and when. You can edit a daily value in place or delete an entry. To change a training session, delete it and add it again.
