Privacy and your data
Who can see athlete data, how sharing works and how to request your data.
This page explains how privacy works in the product. For the formal details, read our Privacy Notice and Terms.
The main idea
Section titled “The main idea”Your data belongs to you. A coach only sees what you’ve chosen to share, and you can change that at any time.
Who can see what
Section titled “Who can see what”- You can see all your own data.
- Your coach can see the categories you share with their team.
- Other athletes on your team can’t see your data through their athlete app.
Sharing is your choice
Section titled “Sharing is your choice”- Nothing is shared until you join. You see who the coach is and choose before you join a team.
- Each team has its own switches. You can share different things with different coaches.
- Health data is separate. Blood and body composition has its own switch, and it starts switched off.
See Choose what your coach sees for what each switch covers.
What happens when you…
Section titled “What happens when you…”| You | Result |
|---|---|
| Turn a switch off | That category is hidden from your coach straight away, past data included. It can’t undo what they’ve already seen or downloaded |
| Leave a team | Sharing with that team stops. Your account and data stay |
| Are removed by a coach | Your account and data stay |
| Disconnect a device | New data from it stops. Data already collected stays |
Tests your coach recorded themselves stay visible to that coach.
How coaches handle your data
Section titled “How coaches handle your data”Coaches have a Hide health data switch, which replaces blood, body composition and weight values with “Hidden” on screen and leaves them out of exports. It’s meant for moments like sharing a screen.
Uploaded test reports are stored encrypted.
Your device sign-in
Section titled “Your device sign-in”When you connect a device, you sign in on that company’s own page. Everstride doesn’t see or store your password for that service.
